GoTeacher is an education technology platform that helps schools understand and manage the growing number of third-party applications being used across their organization. I worked on the administrative experience, turning complex information around app usage, privacy, security, and access into tools that school administrators could more easily understand and act on. The challenge was giving people enough depth to make responsible decisions without expecting every administrator to suddenly become a privacy or security expert.
As a product designer, I worked across both existing and emerging areas of the platform—from early product thinking and user flows through detailed interaction and interface design. My work included administrator onboarding, application discovery and management, privacy and security insights, approval workflows, access controls, audit histories, notifications, and account-level actions.
I focused on surfacing the information administrators needed, explaining why it mattered, and making the next step clear—especially when decisions involved student data, privacy, or access. Because these features were often connected, I also created reusable patterns that could scale as new administrative capabilities were introduced across the platform.
Working on GoTeacher taught me how to design for products where clarity and trust are just as important as usability. I became very intentional about hierarchy, language, permissions, system states, and the way information is revealed over time. The goal wasn’t to hide complexity, but to organize it carefully enough that people could make informed decisions without feeling overwhelmed by it.
